About me

I'm a 27 year old research student at the University of Bradford.
I actually live in Bradford as well, for my sins - although I suppose it doesn't look too bad at night (although it does have to be a very dark night!)
My life is taken up by my research and sport - I play it and watch it, satellite tv being my drug. I play squash, mountain bike and work out in the gym.
I'm 5'10 and 180lbs - and that's me on the left, not the best pic, but the only one I've got at the moment.

My area of research is the cosolute sorption (specifically hydrophobic partitioning) of low solubility low concentration organics onto Permo Triassic sandstone.
I have to admit it's not going too well at the moment - too many experimental problems - the pic is of some of my apparatus.
The work is pretty interesting, and certainly relevant - and it makes me feel that when I get this stuff finished (maybe next century!) - I'll have done something useful.

As I've already said - sport is my main out of work activity.
I love football, even though I am piss poor at it, and I'm mad about Manchester clubs, both City and United, although United is my first love (and has been since I was a baby). I think this is unusual, as most United fans hate City, and vice versa. Me I think Manchester is the centre of footballing excellence, and that includes the unfortunate City as well.
I hope that the blues will pull themselves up, and start showing why they used to be one of the biggest clubs in England - Good Luck Joe Royle.
Living in Bradford has the advantage of being close to Leeds for clubbing - I think Leeds is only second to Manchester in night life, and the Warehouse is a favourite venue of mine - check out the Speed Queen, a fantastic night of variety and tunes.
The pic is of Roy Keane - the greatest player to have ever put a pair of boots on - in my humble opinion.
